The Hon. Michael Field AC retired from politics in 1997, after serving from 1989 to 1992 as Premier of Tasmania, and since 1976 as a Member of the House of Assembly.
He now provides consulting advice to a wide range of organisations, sharing his passion for leadership excellence and research into organisational growth and change.
In 2003, Mr Field was one of eight Australians made a Companion of the Order of Australia for his service to State Parliament, particularly for his introduction as Premier of a controversial - and ultimately successful - plan to manage Tasmania's public debt.
