On the 16th December 2008, about 60 staff, graduates and their guests, dignitaries from the University of Tasmania, and industry representatives attended a reception at the Australian Innovation Research Centre to celebrate the graduation of this year's cohort of students from the Graduation Certificate of Commercialisation.  The reception followed on from the major graduation ceremony conducted earlier in the day at the University of Tasmania.

Associate Professor Jack English, addressed the graduates, congratulating them on their achievements, and acknowledged the support of graudates' families.

Associate Professor English also thanked the University of Tasmania, the Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AusIndustry and the CSIRO's ICT Centre for their ongoing contribution and support of the course.
